THE EAST COAST GOES OFF FOR FIVE DAYS
BY RICHARD LIVSEY
ROCKAWAY BEACH, NY -Thanks
to a low pressure system out
in the Atlantic that graced our
region this past spring, the
north east experienced some
sizable and extremely ridable
surf for five days straight.

I was out there for three of
those days, and let me tell you
that it was fun. Despite getting
pounded while trying to paddle
out to the line up, it was well
worth the beating.

Especially, after enduring such
a dismal winter, one in which
the waves were few and far
between over here on the
Right Coast. It was comforting
to know that spring was off to
a good start. And now that I've
rested up a bit, all I can say is:
"More waves please."
