AN IMPORTANT FILM
THAT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GO SEE
By Richard Livsey
NEW YORK CITY - An Inconvenient Truth is playing at theaters everywhere, but chances are you're not going to be
in attendance. Sure you'll tell your family, friends and co-workers that you plan on checking it out, but I'm betting that
you'll settle for some mindless
brain candy instead.

Or you might not go see this movie just because former
Vice President Al Gore is the narrator of the film. Let me give
it to you straight - Not going to see this film because of your personal politics would be a big mistake.

This film is not about what party you voted for or who's running the country. It's a wake up call to all the inhabitants of
earth that
global warming is becoming one of the greatest threats known to man.

Forget about
terrorism for a minute, forget about worldwide epidemics like AIDS, forget about everything that you ever
thought you knew about the state of our environment and picture millions of people displaced by rising sea levels,
catastrophic storms and endless droughts.

From the crumbling glaciers to the deadly hurricanes that ravaged the coastal regions in the past decade, we have
already witnessed the effects of global warming. But the worst is yet to come, and it's our children and grandchildren
that are going to be faced with extreme hardships if we continue to look at the startling data with a
blind eye. Instead of
leaving a legacy behind, the future generations are going to inherit a wasteland.

One of the problems is a lack of
education. Many people fail to believe that they can make a difference, but you can.
And if you're wondering where to start, I'll give you a hint: Go see
An Inconvenient Truth.

This film will arm you with enough information to start your own personal crusade. And from there
you can make an impact by
urging others to see this film.

The next step would be to make some minor changes at home: From
driving less, and walking more to keeping
your home thoroughly insulated to planting trees to buying more organic products. It not about reinventing the wheel,
but finding different ways to spin it.

Start at home and then move onto the office. Many businesses have proved that you can make a profit and still be
environmentally responsible.

Patagonia
has been dedicated to finding reusable energy sources and producing environmental friendly products for
years.

And
Sector 9 Skateboards not only added organict-shirts to their clothing line, but they are also making skateboards
out of bamboo with their save a tree, ride a weed campaign.

You don't have to light your home with candles or drape yourself in
hemp. The little things can make a impact,
especially in the beginning. The time to change is now. Don't wait until it's too late.
